Peta people are histrionic and hysterical bullies that's all. I was a carriage driver in NYC. I loved my horses and had one who wouldn't give me time to unbolt his stall door in the morning, pushing with his head on the door and when I'd get it open he'd charge past me heading for the dressing/tacking area. If there is an accident or a horse goes down we are greatly affected, its a hard knock to take believe me. I had one who was prone to colicing, three times. Couldn't feed him grain had to give him pellets. Walked him round the block for hours, keep him moving. He was a gas of a horse also, big boy, 17 hands, knew the time for home at the end of the day, (lot of them do, they aint dumb you know), nothing bothered him, didn't give damn about traffic/spooky noises in NYC. In that job you and your horse are partners, quite dependant on each other. I and he got picked for the final twelve submissions for New York's Olympic bid last time round, one of the icons of New York are the horses and carriages, we were proud and looked good on the stills and video and sound etc and he was a bit of a showoff anyway, knew when to adopt a pose. I live elsewhere now but by God I miss that life in NY and the horses, great way to earn a living, working with horse, horsemanship in the big and best city in the world amongst all that concrete and steel, very organic. I felt privileged. Thank you. Because animals became very popular to be a pet in U.S.A. Especially in NYC, high % of families have pets and these pets are taken care like as human, like their children. Because of this reason, people started feeling or theirs emotions became very close to the pets, then they started seeingg people need to respect animals as human being. That's why [animal cruelty] started. Animal Cruelty = Mind from supported pets society Activities of Animal Cruelty is contradicting activities.
