Listening to the Trees

Temperatures in the high 40s or low 50s aren’t typical for December in New York. The unusually high temperatures also affect nature. Amid concerns about climate change, the New York Botanical Garden started volunteer program in 2008 called, “Listening to the Trees.” The Garden has trained a band of “citizen scientists” to record changes in tree life.
