The National Park Service held a week-long celebration at the African Burial Ground in Lower Manhattan to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the rediscovery of the 300-year-old cemetery.
The festivities included film series, interactive exhibits, tours and workshops tied to the history of the largest African cemetery excavated in North America.
