Queens —
The city is more than halfway to its goal of planting a million trees by 2017. The MillionTreesNYC program, part of the larger PlaNYC improvement effort, is getting some help from the Mckinley Children’s Garden in Queens. Workers at the Jamaica park taught local grade schoolers how to plant and care for new trees.
