Manhattan —
Veterans and their families traveled to the Intrepid Sea, Air and Space Museum in honor of Veterans Day. The Dignity Memorial Wall, a replica of the Vietnam Memorial wall in Washington, made its first trip to Pier 86.
The three-quarter scale replica, inscribed with the names of the thousands of men and women killed or missing in Vietnam, provides a way for those unable to travel to Washington to honor the fallen.
The wall can be viewed around the clock through November 20th. Admission is free.
