No Hailing 'Taxi of Tomorrow'

Advocates for wheelchair-accessible cabs flocked to Manhattan Federal Court to support a lawsuit against the city’s “Taxi of Tomorrow.”

Fewer than two percent of the city’s 13,000 cabs can pick up passengers in wheelchairs, and the new Nissan NV200 won’t increase that number. Advocates want the city to do better.
