Ghosts of Greenwich Village

The Greenwich Village Halloween parade offers an annual visual feast of costumed characters. But not too far off the parade route, spirits are said to lurk in some neighborhood spots year-round.

An old firehouse, a stately townhouse-turned-museum and the one-time site of house where horror master Edgar Allan Poe once lived are among the places that some say draw ghostly visitors.
