Portals to Other Worlds

Art can bring people together. That’s the goal of Shared Studios’ “Portals” project, which uses audio-visual hookups in old shipping containers in New York to connect people around the world.

During “The Museum Imagined” show curated by Lily Wei, participants got the chance to enter the portal in Chelsea’s Danese/Corey

gallery and communicate with folks in Afghanistan, Cuba, Zimbabwe, Honduras and Mexico.
