Chants of “Not our president!” resounded from Union Square to Trump Tower as thousands of New Yorkers took to the streets in the aftermath of Donald Trump’s election to the presidency.
The demonstrators, many of them young, waved protest signs as they demonstrated against a president-elect they excoriated as a xenophobic racist who presents a grave danger to the nation that elevated him to its highest office.
