The coronavirus emergency has moved piano instruction online, creating new challenges for instructors and students.
Hunter College is providing keyboards to students, said professor Geoffrey Burleson, who told Bklyner that instructors are discovering other limitations to remote teaching: “You can’t really do a chamber music or a band rehearsal through Zoom or video-conferencing programs because you’ll go out of sync all of the time.”
