Maria Chambers, an Ecuadorian immigrant who works in financial services, shares a look into her lockdown life on the East Side in this video.

She has a direct view of the Queensboro Bridge—a path for so many ambulances these days—as New Yorkers come together at 7 p.m. to give a noisy thank you to first responders and healthcare workers.

“Somehow, for those four minutes,” she says, “our social distancing evaporates.”
