BROOKLYN —
The centuries-old Mexican tradition of Dia de los Muertos is being commemorated at historic Green-Wood Cemetery with a community ofrenda, or altar, dedicated to those lost to COVID-19.
Visitors to the newly renovated chapel are encouraged to light candles in memory of loved ones.
Favorite flowers, foods, drinks and personal trinkets—as well as notes and photo from friends and family—are also left as offerings of remembrance.
