QUEENS — The nonprofit Culture Lab began presenting live music a couple of nights a week from a parking lot in Long Island City once restrictions on outdoor events eased in May.
“People keep saying how we saved their lives, how we saved the summer, how nothing like this really exists anywhere else,” said executive director Edjo Wheeler.
Now, as autumn heads toward winter, staff and volunteers are thinking of ways to keep the show going in the face of the unyielding pandemic.
