BROOKLYN —
The Totem development company wants to turn a Sunset Park site that is now home to a Dunkin’ Donuts into a mixed-use apartment building, a move that would require rezoning.
The proposal, which is going through the city’s universal land-use review process, was approved by the local community board in a 24-16 vote. Borough President Eric Adams now has about 60 days to make his recommendation.
Opponents are concerned that the project envisioned for 747 Fourth Ave. will not create enough affordable housing.
