Riders Face Fines

If you’re on the subway or a bus and see a fellow rider without a mask, it could be time for them to pay up.

The Metropolitan Transportation Authority is enforcing its mask mandate as ridership—and non-compliance—increases.

Even if you’re fully vaccinated, the agency is requiring that you mask up or face a $50 fine.
