BROOKLYN —
Advocates who say Chuck Schumer and his Senate Democratic caucus have not made immigration reform a priority organized a sleep out in front of his Park Slope apartment house.
The majority leader maintains he has been working to find a way to pass immigration legislation in the face of staunch Republican opposition in the 50-50 Senate. Most recently, hopes of including a pathway to citizenship for undocumented people in the latest budget bill disappeared.
