History is an ongoing attraction when it comes to the famous Coney Island boardwalk.
Coney Island USA, the nonprofit arts organization on Surf Avenue, features sideshows, coordinates the annual Mermaid Parade and houses a museum.
Adam “RealMan” Rinn, who took over as artistic director in January, is a Coney Island native who has worked as a sword swallower, strongman and variety performer for the past 20 years.
This year, Coney Island USA fully reopened for the first time since the pandemic hit.
