MANHATTAN —
City officials are reminding dog walkers they face a fine of up to $250 if they don’t pick up after their pets.
Complaints about sidewalk conditions in the West Village, Chelsea and Hell’s Kitchen prompted City Council Member Erik Bottcher to teamed up with the Department of Sanitation to try spread the word about stepped-up enforcement.

The efforts include messages on digital billboards and across social media platforms.
