QUEENS —
Little Amal, the 12-foot-tall walking puppet depicting a Syrian refugee child, is touring the city.
Created by the South Africa-based Handspring Puppet Company, Little Amal arrives in New York as a symbol of hope for people who come here from around the world—both the newly arrived and those who are longtime residents.
The Little Amal Walks NYC project will bring her to all five boroughs.
Treashure Lewis has this video report on her stop in Corona.
