MANHATTAN — When the presidents of The City College of New York (CCNY) and Columbia University called in the NYPD to arrest pro-Palestinian campus protestors — including their own students, staff and faculty — they crossed a line,  demonstrators say.
In the end, cops arrested close to 300 people on both campuses late on April 30 into the next morning, according to the NYPD.
CCNY President Vincent Boudreau told NYCity News Service he made the call to ask for NYPD to come onto campus to arrest “trespassers” — a decision students said flew in the face of “a public campus that has been promoting activism.”
